In Memory of Juneau..

His name was Juneau, born 10/24/1992, and passed away on 01/07/2003 after a short battle with cancer. He was far to young to go so quickly. He went everywhere with me, swimming, biking, hiking, fishing, boatin, walking, running, shopping in stores that allowed pets; He was my son and I will miss him until my last day on earth.

He was my little escape artist who just wanted to be free in his own yard. No pen or runner could keep him. He would manage to get out of everything and anything, no matter what!

His mannerisms were quiet, mellow (unless being penned or tied), intent to be a good listener and a thinker. He seemed almost human in his desires, he just wanted simple freedoms. Unlike his nature, he stayed home, free to roam the yard and watch the house from all angles. He knew playtime (exercise) was with "mama". My best friend, companion and a legacy in his own way. "My Unreplaceable JuJu, my BUD"

The stories of him are many and each one special, but his unique character is what I will remember most and hold so dear.

He would lie on my bed and put his head on my pillow like he was human. While sunbathing poolside, if I got up he would get in my lounge chair and proceed to lounge like he was sunbathing, then go for a swim to cool off. Juneau had this way about him, like he sensed the old, young or sick were frail and he would act accordingly; gentle and passive. I do believe everyone who came his way felt a specialness about him, even the delivery men!

I do hope you post a picture of him as he was loved more than I ever thought possible and forever will bring tears to my eyes, as the thoughts of being without him are over whelming.
