It is with a heavy heart that I tell my friends of our loss. Today Drifter left us to join his friends on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge.
Stoli's Catch My Drift ( 6-5-92 to 4-6-01)
To his friends he is known as "Drift" or "Bud" (sometimes even the "Bud boy")
No, he didn't turn out to be the show dog that we dreamed of. He was so much more.
After an 8+ year battle with problems caused by birth trauma and lack of oxygen in the birth canal, today Drifter asked to be set free from his struggle.
He was a puppy raiser extra-ordinaire - if you have a "Stoli Siberian" rest assured that Drifter helped to raise him or her.
He was Forest Gump in a dog package. A kind soul who would never hurt anyone, he was the epitome of unconditional love.
When, at age 14, Erika lost her life-long companion (Bandit) Drifter stepped in to take his place. Now he can join his friends, across the Rainbow Bridge, where he will be free from all of his burdens at last.
Godspeed, Drifter. There is a hole in my heart where you will always reside.
